I’ve been in one of those seasons where I just have to giggle as I watch and see how God is at work all around me.
A few years back, I took Dave Ramsey’s financial coach training. It was not something I was totally sure would fit into my already full daily schedule. But, I really wanted the information and enjoyed the classes tremendously.
Over Christmas as I was thinking ahead to the new year, I was pondering how very much I have enjoyed the financial coaching I have done. I continued thinking about it and the very teeny amount of time I have free in the current season. I love my reflexology business and the clients, many of whom are dear friends now and I am still homeschooling my last, who is currently a junior.
I went down the mental list in my mind. No, Time is of the essence. I will not create a website or social media page of some kind. I won’t do any promoting posts on my personal platforms….
Instead, I prayed a prayer I actually smiled about. It went something like this. “Dear Father, You know how much I enjoy helping people with their money. I know I can not currently pursue this, due to the other things YOU have already blessed my schedule with….but if you have someone that needs the help I can offer, please bring them to my door.…
I said amen and suppressed a giggle thinking about how absurd of a prayer I had just prayed.
About a week later, my doorbell rang.
Not very many people actually ring my doorbell. When I went to the door, there stood a woman I had never met before. And these were her words. “I heard you could help me with my money….”
I almost laughed out loud. I completely forgot to ask her who told her about my services. God came through again in a super surprising, right to my door way. He answered my prayer in a very precise down to the dot way. He is so good.
